On May 14, the first “Aznavour Classic” concert took place in Yerevan. It is a new international project that presents the songs of Charles Aznavour with a symphonic note. The project started in Armenia and will then go on a world tour.
Kristina Aznavour, CEO of the Aznavour Foundation, has performed Charles Aznavour’s finest compositions herself. Special guests at the concert were Erik Berchot and Didier Guazzo, world renowned musicians who have worked with Charles Aznavour for many years. The State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia with guest conductor Nicola Simoni joined them on stage. It was an absolute pleasure and honor for the Aznavour Foundation to organize such a concert and to work with all the musicians involved.
All profits from the concert will be donated to the “Subventions aux casualties de guerre” project that the Aznavour Foundation is implementing in partnership with the NGO “Zinvori toun”.
